Brothers Lyle Eugene and Ercel Eugene Johnson cordially invite you to explore the plains and mountains bordering Montana's Yellowstone Park, nestled near the banks of the Yellowstone River. The JbarL, Crazy D lodge is the perfect place to Immerse yourself in Old-Time and bluegrass music.  Located just outside of Big Timber and easily accessible from Bozeman airport, 60 miles away or Billings airport 90 miles. Delve into the rich sounds of traditional music with instruction from seasoned experts. If you are a beginner ready to learn how to take a solo break while jamming with friends or an intermediate/advanced player, you are in good hands with our instructors.

OPTION 1 - Cowboy Tent/Courses/Meals
Our Cowboy tents for one are a cozy and private way to enjoy the camp.  

OPTION 2 - Wall Tent/Courses/Meals
Our wall tents will outfit your family or group with comfortable lodgings.  It sleeps four with enough room left over to have a jam session.

OPTION 3 - RV/Courses/Meals
We can accommodate your RV with a flat spot and great views.  Dry camping only and limited power hookups. Contact us if you have any questions about what you need.

OPTION 4 - Bring Your Own Tent/Courses/Meals
You are more than welcome to bring your own tent.  We have some great spots on the banks of Sweetgrass Creek, nestled in the shade of tall cottonwood trees.  

OPTION 5 -Shared Room in Lodge/Courses/Meals - SOLD OUT
Enjoy the comfort of the Crazy D Lodge with views of the Crazy Mountains of Montana.

Wednesday, September 18:

Arrive at JbarL Ranch.  Arrange your site or room with help from staff, if needed.

4:00pm - meet and greet in the lodge

5:00pm - 6:30pm - dinner

6:30p - Following dinner - introduction of staff and instructors. Each Instructor will present lesson plans for the week and demonstrate style. Instructors jam together.
